Thanks for checking up on   What's new with us!

Our latest news is being part of the April 2, 2011 Song of the Mountains show.  This program is recorded live at the Lincoln Theater in Marion, VA and then shown on more than 160 PBS stations.  We're still getting responses from people from all across the country to our last show that we did in 2009 for Song of the Mountains.  Here are pictures from our latest show:

Our latest CD  The Master's Garden is all-gospel.  It was recorded, mixed, and produced by Jimmy Edmonds and mastered by Wes Easter.  Jimmy even played fiddle for us on a couple of the songs!

We're pleased with this new project, have gotten really good response so far and hope you like it too.

The October 2010 issue of Bluegrass Unlimited said "Anyone familiar with the music of Bill and Maggie Anderson would certainly do well to pick up on their latest collection of heartfelt gospel music".

Read more about it and see the song list on our CD page.  You can also go to our fan page on Facebook "Bill and Maggie Anderson", and hear some clips from the songs.

We're still getting a good response to our High on a Mountain  CD that we released last year.

The November 2009 issue of Bluegrass Unlimited  said: "For homespun vocals supported by dynamic instrumentation, it would be almost impossible to top the music of Bill and Maggie Anderson."

Find out more about it on our CD playlist page.

For the fifth year now we will be playing  every Wednesday during the summer months of 2011 starting at the end of May at the Blue Ridge Music Center.  That's at mile marker 213 on the Blue Ridge Parkway.  We will be in the luthier shop or in the breezeway, depending on the weather. Bill will be talking about guitar building  and Maggie will be demonstrating some of the mountain instruments like the autoharp and the dulcimer.  We'll also be sharing our music and chatting with visitors to the music center.  Hope to see you there!  We'll be around from about 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Wednesdays.

Bill continues to be  an authorized C. F. Martin warranty repair person.  He is one of only a select few in the world to be certified as such (only about 300).  Bring by your Martin when you see us for him to evaluate for you.

Bill is also making a new model of guitar.  It's a short scale OOOO model (Martin calls it an M model).  It has great balance and tone.  Check that out too on the Guitar and Basses page.

A big highlight of our schedule this year is that we're playing for the "Song of the Mountains" show again. This is a big deal for us!  We were on it a few years back and people are still telling us they saw us on TV.   It's recorded live at the Lincoln Theater in Marion, VA.  and distributed to about 163 PBS TV stations nationwide with the number of affiliates carrying the show increasing.  Check it out at www.songofthemountains.org.    On the show, April 2, 2011 besides us will be Larry Sparks and the Lonesome Ramblers, Bluestone, Sweet Potato Pie, and Lorrie Carter Bennett with Ronnie Williams.  Check it out!!
