Thanks for checking up on What's new with us! Our new CD is here! It's all-gospel, recorded, mixed, and produced by Jimmy Edmonds and mastered by Wes Easter. Jimmy even played fiddle for us on a couple of the songs!
We're pleased with this new project, have gotten really good response to the songs so far and hope you like it too. Read more about it and see the song list on our CD page. You can also go to our fan page on Facebook "Bill and Maggie Anderson", and hear some clips from the songs.
We're still getting a good response to our High on a Mountain CD that we released last year. The November 2009 issue of Bluegrass Unlimited said: "For homespun vocals supported by dynamic instrumentation, it would be almost impossible to top the music of Bill and Maggie Anderson."
Find out more about it on our CD playlist page. We are World Vision artists associates! This is a wonderful Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. And, what also impressed us was that 87% of the money donated to World Vision goes to the needy. If you'd like to learn more about World Vision, and sponsoring a child, follow this link: World Vision. We'd also love to tell you all about the wonderful opportunities there are to support World Vision when we play at your church or venue!
We continue to love our home in the mountains! That's at mile marker 213 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We will be in the luthier shop where Bill will be talking about guitar building and Maggie will be demonstrating some of the mountain instruments like the autoharp and the dulcimer. We'll also be sharing our music and chatting with visitors to the music center. Hope to see you there! We'll be around from about 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Wednesdays.
