March 3rd – March 6th – Sabal Palm RV Resort and Campground Bluegrass Festival, Palmdale, Florida. We'll be sharing music and visiting with our friends in Florida.  We are scheduled to play at 12:00 noon on Friday, March 4th and  3:00 pm on Sunday, March 6th at this festival.  Bill will be putting on a "Guitar Care and Maintenance Seminar" at 10:00 am on Saturday and will be available to give you advice on your guitar throughout the festival at the Angel Music sales tent run by Jan and Larry Ladd. March 26th - Rotary Field, Stuart, VA  The Music Maker's Guild  will be part of a Guitar Show that will begin at noon at the Rotary Field followed by the regular concert starting at 4:00 until 9:00. the Guild will share music in the first time slot of this concert.  Bill will be showing his latest guitars and basses at this show. April 2nd – Song of the Mountains – We will be sharing music at the Lincoln Theater in Marion, VA as part of the evening concert. This is a big deal for us!  The show  will be taped for later broadcast on a variety of PBS stations.  Right now the show is seen on 163 PBS TV stations nationwide.  The night we will be playing the bill will include: Larry Sparks and the Lonesome Ramblers (one of our favorite groups), Bluestone, Sweet Potato Pie, and Lorrie Carter Bennett with Ronnie Williams.  For further information www.songofthemountains.org.

May 6th & 7th - Houston Fest - This is an incredibly star-studded bluegrass festival in honor of the late Houston Caldwell, an incredibly talented banjo player from Galax whose young life was cut short by a motorcycle accident.  In his memory, many in the bluegrass community have donated their time and talents to put on this festival, the proceeds of which will go toward encouraging our youth to follow in his musical legacy.  This will be the farewell concert of the Cherryholmes band.  Bill will be part of the luthiers group showing their wares and explaining the instrument building process.  Maggie will be volunteering at "Camp Houston" the youth area. May 13th - The Rex Theater, Galax -  Maggie and Bill will be sharing music for the first half of the Blue Ridge Backroads broadcast live over WBRF 98.1 FM from 8:00 to 9:00 pm. The whole show goes from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm with the talented young banjo picker, Stephanie Gibson and her band the Blue Ridge Travelers playing from 9:00 - 10:00 pm.

May 14 - Blue Ridge Music Center, mile marker 213 on the Blue Ridge Parkway - Bill and Maggie will share music on the breezeway or in the Luthier's Shop (depending on the weather) from 12:00 - 4:00 pm.

June 9th - 12th  Wind Gap Bluegrass Festival, Mountain View Park, Wind Gap, PA – we will be performing a gospel set to start the program on Sunday the 12th.  This is a wonderful festival, check it out on line.

June 18th - Virginia's Covered Bridge Festival, on Rt. 8 in Woolwine, VA. at the Star Pavilion Stage at the Jack's Creek Bridge Area.  This festival runs from 10:30 am, being started by our good friends and fun entertainers: Mary Jo and Charlie Leet with help from Tommy Morse and Ron Pendleton.  We will be sharing music from 12:30 -1:30 pm.  Before we play, Les Moore will share Blues and Jazz.  After us will be Celt-Hix followed by Strictly Country with Preston Martin who will close out the festival sharing fine country vocals and dance band music from 2:30 - ?  It promises to be a fun time.  For further information contact Mary Jo Leet at www.geobuilt.com or 276-694-6700.
